Can I just drop by without an appointment to fill the gas cylinder?
Yes. Private customers are welcome to come to our gas plant at Grødelandsvegen 367, Orre, during opening hours – no pre-booking is required.
How much does it cost to refill a gas cylinder?
The price depends on bottle size and type of connection. See the full, updated price list on the page Propane filling.
Do you deliver propane cylinders to businesses?
Yes. We deliver regularly or on a one-off basis to businesses in many different industries in Rogaland. We deliver on set days – you will be notified of the delivery day once we have received your order. See Order propane to place an order.
Do you have tax-free LPG for motorhomes and caravans?
Yes, we have a self-service, free-of-charge LPG dispenser that can be used outside regular opening hours. See Free of charge LPG for price and opening hours at the dispenser.
Which connector fits my gas bottle?
The most common connection types are Click-on/Jumbo (household), POL/industrial, German DIN477, and forklift/ACME. See Bottle filling information for a complete overview with pictures.
Can I return old gas cylinders?
Yes, you can return propane cylinders to us for free, regardless of whether the cylinder can be refilled or not.
Do you sell fireworks?
Yes. Jæren Gass AS is a retailer for fireworks from Svea, with sales from our facility at Orre in the period December 27-31. See Fireworks for more information.
Do you offer installation and service for gas systems?
Yes, we offer connection, repair, service and annual inspection of gas installations. See Technical services for more information.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 15:00-18:00, Saturday 11:00-15:00. Sunday is closed, and we are also closed on public holidays.
What do I do if I smell gas or discover a leak?
Turn off the gas, ventilate well by opening windows and doors, and avoid open flames and electrical appliances. See our full gas welding rules in case of gas leak for more information.
Do you have a self-service gas cylinder vending machine?
No, we do not have a 24-hour vending machine for exchanging gas cylinders. You can pick up your filled cylinder from us at our facility at Orre during our opening hours (Monday–Friday 3 PM – 6 PM, Saturday 11 AM – 3 PM). If you prefer delivery to a business instead, you can order directly via the Order propane page.
